Overview
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Creative Project Manager is responsible for leading complex creative initiatives, ensuring timely execution, quality delivery, and alignment with brand strategy.
This role partners with leaders across Marketing, Production, and the Design Studio to streamline workflows, manage priorities, and oversee project execution from concept through completion.
The Senior Creative Project Manager maintains high visibility across creative initiatives, upholds brand excellence, and fosters strong collaboration between stakeholders and Team Members.
This is an onsite role in Franklin, TN
Here's some of what you will be doing...
- Proactively evaluate and recommend improvements to project workflows, resource allocation, and reporting mechanisms.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of creative projects across design, video, and multimedia teams.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer and broader creative team to align project timelines, deliverables, and quality expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project scope, objectives, timelines, and updates.
- Maintain and manage project tracking systems, status reports, and creative calendars to ensure accountability and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate resource allocation by identifying project needs, scheduling internal talent, and anticipating potential conflicts.
- Lead creative team stand-ups, project kickoff meetings, reviews, and post-project retrospectives to encourage continuous improvement.
- Ensure all creative assets meet Ministry standards, brand guidelines, and project objectives before delivery.
- Anticipate and proactively address project risks, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
- Demonstrate a positive, solution-oriented mindset, encouraging collaboration and excellence within the creative team and across departments.
- Actively contributes to strategic planning discussions, providing insight on timelines, resource needs, and process optimization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for critical project updates, milestone reporting, and issue resolution across assigned portfolios.
- Perform various team and project tasks as assigned.
Here's some experience and skills we are seeking...
- AA Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience. (Experience working for a church/Ministry, production house or student position at university, desired.)
- PMP or Agile certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in creative project management or production operations, preferably in a design or marketing environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient in project collaboration tools and software; ability to train others and maintain reporting integrity.
- Basic understanding of design and production workflows, including familiarity with fonts, color profiles, file formats, and proofing.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with Ministry-specific programs and software.
- Prior work experience in a design production or marketing environment is preferred.
- Experience in print production and print ordering, preferred.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities. Detail oriented and possess strong follow through.
- Possess solid time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Be a “people person” interacting with internal clients.
- Highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel as needed and adhere to department budgets.
