Content Creator - 12 Month Contract
The UMC team works in a hybrid, flexible environment with four days a week from our creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto and one day of work virtually.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing & Digital, the Content Creator will be responsible for developing engaging digital content to support artist campaigns and drive fan engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for music and digital media.
How You’ll Lead:
Strong ability to produce, shoot, edit and deliver both short-form and medium-form videos for social media and streaming platforms
Stay updated on trends, features, native platform language and algorithm changes to leverage opportunities for increased engagement and visibility.
Administer in-house digital content needs for marketing team supporting for a select roster of artists.
Editing of promotional content, artist liners, various “behind the scenes” content, live performances and other various digital content.
Leverage combinations of video, micro-video, animations, icons/emojis, photo and text to create compelling, sharable content for fans.
When needed, work directly with freelance creatives, and manage revisions to adhere to artist branding.
Communicate regularly with Senior Director, Marketing & Digital on the status of ongoing and upcoming work.
Maintain project scheduling and content archival (utilizing Monday, Sony Ci, and other proprietary asset systems)
Live streaming experience a plus
Use analytics, feedback loops and reporting metrics to ensure content creation/social media strategy is consistent with label’s goals

What You Bring:
Proven experience in video/digital content in relevant industry (must provide a link to portfolio)
Advanced knowledge and experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite programs including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as After Effects
Preferred 1-2 years of video and/or production experience in music/entertainment business
Possess strong attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to work with both Mac and PC platforms
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Consistent willingness to go above and beyond for project deliverables
Ability to keep information highly confidential
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with employees of the company at all levels including Executive Management
Pop culture savvy and adept in social media trends
Positive attitude and team player
Ability to create CapCut and Instagram Reels templates a plus
Proactive approach to work, constantly seeking improvement in all areas.
