Role Description
Newhouse builds programs that put creators at the center of cultural moments. The Creator Relations Manager is the human bridge between our clients and the creators who make the work hit. You are the person clients trust to walk into a brief, name the right creators, and explain why each one belongs in the campaign in a way that feels obvious in hindsight. The work calls for taste, fluency in current creator economy dynamics, and an actual point of view on culture.
Qualifications
Creator Strategy & Target Lists
- Build target creator lists for new pitches and active campaigns, anchored on category fit, audience composition, content style, and cultural relevance.
- Write clear, defensible rationales for why each creator belongs in the program. Every name on the list earns its spot.
- Stay ahead of who is rising, who is shifting platforms, and who is having a cultural moment.
Pitching & Client Storytelling
- Present creator strategies to clients directly, both in new business pitches and on active campaigns.
- Translate taste into language clients can sell internally.
- Field the hard questions live: why this creator, why not that one, what risks we have flagged, and what we expect from each partnership.
Creator Vetting & Partnerships
- Vet creators against opportunities for fit, brand safety, prior partnerships, content history, and audience overlap.
- Build and deepen direct relationships with creators, their managers, and talent reps so the next yes is easier than the last.
- Negotiate the soft side of partnerships: scope, vibe, expectations, and creative boundaries.
Content Production Oversight
- Oversee creative content production from concept through delivery, partnering with our project managers and producers.
- Protect the creator's voice while keeping the brief intact.
- Spot when a piece of content is not landing and steer it before it ships.
IRL & Cultural Presence
- Show up at premieres, activations, creator dinners, and industry events. Build relationships in the room, not over email.
- Travel between New York and Los Angeles as campaigns require.
- Bring back intel from the field that sharpens the next round of recommendations.
