About The Role:
The Global Head of YouTube is responsible for leading YouTube marketing strategy and execution, driving audience growth, artist visibility, and commercial performance through innovative strategic partnerships, and data-driven marketing initiatives.
This leader oversees the development and execution of global YouTube campaigns, identifies emerging trends and fast-growing social platforms, and collaborates cross-functionally with artists, the video team, creative teams, partner managers, and internal stakeholders to maximize campaign performance, audience engagement, and cultural impact worldwide.
The role requires strong expertise in YouTube strategy, video integration, and delegation of video team resources while maintaining hands-on involvement in priority artist projects.
The Global Head of YouTube manages workflows, builds and develops a high-performing global strategy video team, and works closely with our YouTube ops team and partner management, as well as shorts teams, music partnerships teams, DSPs, and new media partners. Responsibilities also include distilling actionable insights from video and music consumption data, identifying macro trends, and ensuring strategic alignment across territories to maximize global impact and support long-term company and artist success in an evolving digital landscape. Additionally, the position is responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and driving the professional growth, retention, and performance of the video team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee/own all marketing for ONErpm globally, and drive decisions on the allocation of the YouTube marketing budget and team resources to maximize impact.
- Lead full service integration and delegation of global video team and resources ; this will include training, and professional growth of the video team, ensuring high retention and performance. The head will lead the team towards business goals, set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals.
- Focus on management but remains on priority artist projects
- Implements the workflows, tools, and reporting structures that the entire video team utilizes
- Owns relationships with high level platform partners (YouTube Partner Managers, Shorts reps, music partnerships teams) and new media partners
- Distills data into actionable insights for the wider team, identifying macro-trends in video and music consumption
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a marketing strategy role development within the music, entertainment, or media industry.
- Expertise in digital content platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, and major DSPs.
- Proven experience leading and managing global or multi-regional marketing teams.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing large-scale YouTube campaigns with measurable results.
- Deep understanding of music marketing, streaming ecosystems, audience growth strategies, and fan engagement.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with artists, managers, labels, agencies, and platform partners.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting campaign performance data, KPIs, and ROI metrics.
- Experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and campaign optimization across multiple markets.
- Knowledge of influencer marketing, social media trends, and emerging digital platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM, audience data collection, and fan acquisition strategies including email, SMS, and retargeting.
