Job Title: People Partner
A little bit about our team:
Our People team aims to attract, retain, and develop talent to drive success, focusing on culture, talent management, organizational development and engagement, total rewards, and compliance.
As the People Partner, you will serve as a core foundational pillar within our regional ecosystem, acting as both our primary operational anchor and a trusted people partner. In this newly created role reporting directly to the Senior Director, People APAC, this position focuses on driving high-impact HR and People Operations with absolute data integrity, work in collaboration with total rewards and talent management functions to contribute, drive and execute on various People initiatives.
We are looking for a tech-curious, operationally sharp professional who is eager to maximize our Workday infrastructure, explore modern workplace automation tools (like Generative AI and automated data workflows), and deliver seamless regional HR generalist support across a diverse, fast-paced creative landscape.
Here you'll get to:
1. Core People Operations & Data Analytics
- Workday & Data Integrity: Act as the regional super-user and custodian for Workday, which serves as our key source of people data. You will execute the end-to-end operational life cycle of employee changes, contract tracking, and onboarding and offboarding workflows.
- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day HR administrative processes, compliance tracking, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle experience.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Track, compile, and visualize regional OKRs and people metrics to provide actionable operational insights to the leadership teams.
- Workflow Optimization: Maintain a continuous-improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to pilot modern tools (such as Generative AI for drafting or low-code automation tools) to streamline routine HR tasks.
2. People Partnership
- Client Group Consultation and Stakeholder Management: Provide essential, hands-on HR guidance to assigned client groups, addressing employee relations, team dynamics, and talent management needs.
- Performance & Calibration: Leverage WMG talent framework to guide local managers through annual performance review cycles, talent calibration, career progression and development.
- Strategic Planning Support: Support in translating global People Team priorities into actionable local and regional initiatives that support business objectives.
3. Regional Synergy & Collaboration
- COE Liaison: Act as a central bridge between shared service center, Total Rewards and Talent Management and affiliates people team.
- Culture & Inclusion: Support regional and global initiatives that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring WMG continues to foster an inspiring and employer of choice environment.
This position requires a minimum of four days per week in the office. We value in-office collaboration and believe it’s essential for talent development and fostering strong working relationships
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience Profile: You possess 4+ years of progressive HR experience in matrix and multinational environments, with a proven foundation in hands-on HR operations and a solid exposure to people partnering / HR generalist workflows.
- Workday Proficiency: You have an advanced, practical proficiency with Workday (our key source of people data) or a closely related global HRIS platform, coupled with a meticulous eye for data accuracy.
- The Tech-Curious Mindset: You possess a strong affinity for tech and a genuine curiosity about how AI, automation, or data analytics platforms can optimize traditional HR processes. (Experience with data analytics is a strong plus). Professional proficiency in Google Workspace and its applications.
- The WMG Persona: You are creative, culturally curious, and commercially oriented with a high tolerance for ambiguity. You are happy to roll up your sleeves to support colleagues in a fast-paced and matrix environment.
- Language Fluency: Professional fluency in English and Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese). Knowledge of any other Asian languages is a distinct advantage.

- Experience advising colleagues at different levels on team challenges, using good judgment and standard HR practices to find fair solutions.
- A knack for change management, you know how to support colleagues and adapt smoothly when things pivot.
- Great presentation skills and the confidence to speak to groups, whether you're onboarding new hires or rolling out a new initiative.
