POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Marketing at Seton Hill University leads the strategic direction and daily execution of the university's integrated marketing plan, with a focus on supporting enrollment goals for undergraduate, graduate, and online bachelor's degree programs. This position manages university branding, lead generation campaigns, paid and organic media strategy, enrollment communications, print and digital collateral, the university website, and all marketing efforts that shape how Seton Hill is experienced and understood by prospective students and the wider community.

Reporting to the Vice President for Marketing & Enrollment Management, the Director of Marketing serves as the department's senior leader, providing vision, guidance, and oversight for the full marketing team. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across Enrollment, Academic Affairs, Institutional Advancement, and Student Affairs to ensure a mission-aligned, consistent, and compelling message across all channels.

The Seton Hill Marketing Team includes: Director of Marketing, Associate Director of Marketing, Assistant Director of Social Media & Digital Content Creator, Senior Graphic Designer & Visual Identity Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Marketing Communications Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Leading the creation and implementation of a comprehensive annual marketing plan that advances enrollment (lead generation and conversion) and brand visibility goals.
Overseeing Seton Hill's multi-platform "always-on" advertising strategy, including digital, print, broadcast, and streaming placements.
Serving as the strategic lead for the university website (setonhill.edu), including user experience, lead capture tools, SEO, AI optimization, personalization, and web-to-CRM tracking.
Guiding the development of targeted communication flows and conversion campaigns using print, email, text, and AI tools.
Managing brand standards and developing consistent, mission-driven messaging across all media.
Overseeing storytelling initiatives like the university's "Find Your Forward" campaign, which highlight student, alumni, and faculty success.
Supervising the Marketing Department team and fostering a collaborative, innovative, results-oriented work environment.
Conducting ongoing market research and monitoring performance data to inform continuous optimization of marketing strategy and resource allocation.
Collaborating with departments and campus leadership to support recruitment, retention, and institutional goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in higher education or enrollment-focused settings.
Demonstrated experience in the following:
- Lead generation and enrollment marketing strategy.
- Digital advertising (Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Connected TV).
- CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
- SEO, AI optimization, web analytics, and website content strategy.
- Social media marketing and audience engagement.
- Creative direction for photography, video, and branding campaigns.
- Vendor/media buying and agency relationship management.
- Strong project management, leadership, communication, and budget oversight skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A master's degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field.

This position is fully in person on Seton Hill's campus located in Greensburg, PA. Competitive salary and benefits package available.
