Job Description
We are looking for a talented Production Retoucher with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and expertise in advanced retouching techniques, including the ability to streamline complex workflows for retouching projects. Proficiency in Photoshop is essential, including mastery of pen tools, layers, blend modes, filters, and actions, along with a deep understanding of production retouching processes. The role also requires skill in troubleshooting and resolving issues within established workflows and actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality retouching and image enhancement for a variety of projects, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
- Utilize Photoshop tools such as the pen tool, layers, and advanced retouching techniques to deliver polished and professional results.
- Recognize the distinction between high-visibility projects and routine production tasks, and seamlessly shift priorities to meet tight deadlines.
- Execute complex retouching tasks for high-visibility projects, maintaining consistency with brand and project guidelines.
- Efficiently use/modify Photoshop actions, batch actions, scripts, and droplets to streamline workflow and manage large volumes of images.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that may arise from predefined workflows, actions, or automated processes to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver retouched images that meet or exceed expectations.
- Maintain an organized workflow, keeping track of multiple projects and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of retouched images.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in retouching and/or image editing.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including advanced skills with pen tools, layers, and production retouching techniques.
- Previous experience creating and optimizing workflows by utilizing Photoshop actions, batch actions, scripts, and droplets.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to predefined workflows and automated processes.
- Experience with complex retouching tasks for high-profile projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
- Prior experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) workflows.
- Prior experience working in Adobe Bridge and Lightroom.
- Proven experience managing tasks using project management software.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and innovate while tackling complex problems.
- Basic knowledge of video editing; tasks such as stitching clips, creating loops, color correction and exposure/contrast (Preferred, but not required)
Skills
- Expertise in Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom with a deep understanding of retouching.
- Knowledge of production retouching techniques and workflows.
- Proficiency in Photoshop actions and batch processing.
- Basic knowledge of video editing software, such as Adobe Premier and/or Adobe After Effects. (Preferred, but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills related to predefined workflows and actions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
A portfolio featuring before-and-after examples of your work is required for this role. If applicable, please provide video examples of your work. Additionally, candidates will need to complete a retouching test as part of the application process.
