The Corus Accounts Team in Vancouver is seeking an exceptional individual that is a forward thinker and has the ability to represent all Corus Television, Digital and Radio assets in our direct retail environment. Reporting to the Director of Local Sales, BC, you are a creative thinker who has been immersed in the world of Integrated Marketing solutions, building platforms designed to maximize revenue and provide a measurable ROI for clients. You have a strong background in media sales as well as a solid understanding of Audience measurement and research. You have a track record of developing non-traditional revenues by presenting innovative, research-supported solutions to clients that speak to the evolving opportunities in media delivery.
You will contribute by:
- Deliver best-in-class Marketing solutions to our partners, utilizing the full asset portfolio of Corus, including television, radio, digital, social and creative.
- Ability to integrate Research into the sales narrative in order to advance the Corus advantage and drive revenue.
- Become an expert in Corus “Advanced Advertising” platforms to support revenue generation.
- To achieve individual revenue targets tied to television, digital, radio, social and production budgets.
Skills and experience you will bring:
- Demonstrate clear leadership to all support roles – Inside Sales Representatives, Account Coordinators, Sales Promotions.
- Minimum of five (5) years in the media or agency related experience.
- Execute a thoughtful, concise Customer Needs Analysis (CNA) with clients to identify revenue opportunities.
- Build effective solutions-based marketing programs that address identified KPIs for our client partners and deliver results.
- Collaborate with key internal team/stakeholders to ideate marketing solutions.
- Ability to build best-in-class presentations that incorporate strategy, research, media recommendations and Corus solutions.
- Execute a best-in-class new business revenue generation strategy that delivers on new business targets.
- Accurately forecast revenue for your account/agency responsibilities, working in concert with your client and agency partners that identify accurate revenue opportunity and potential risk.
- Positioning the Corus team as the “go to” media provider in the eyes of our clients and agency partners.
- Embrace Salesforce as the CRM solution for our clients.
- Build expertise in all platforms – S4M, AdStore, Wide Orbit, Salesforce, Airware, CSGO, DFP – to support revenue generation.
- A clear understanding of how your role fits into the broader Corus environment.
- Exemplary, ethical representation of Corus assets to key Agency and direct client partners.
- Bring passion, an attitude of team, and winning spirit to the sales organization.
- Possess a keen knowledge of the competitive landscape.
- Possess a “sixth” sense for opportunity, with a focus on strong negotiation skills and the ability to close business.
