MNRK Music Group is looking for a Payables Accountant to join our team in Nashville. The Payables Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely receipt and accounting of payable expenses by processing, recording/entering, and auditing expenses, and assists with reporting/accounting requirements by helping in monthly and year end closing process.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Receiving, processing, and reconciling expenses with account balances.
- Facilitating payments to vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensuring outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifying discount opportunities, and issuing purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assisting with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions and preparing account reconciliations for AP related account general ledger accounts.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What Makes You Qualified:
- Accounting degree of equivalent experience.
- 1+ year experience in an accounts payable or similar position.
- Organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical conduct, trustworthy, and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task and a team player.
- Customer service mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Willing and able to learn new software applications as needed.
- Prior working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus but not required.
This is a hybrid role that will require you to commute to our Nashville office a minimum of three days a week.
