THE RUNDOWN
The Human Resources Business Partner I supports designated business units, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. The primary objective is to foster a high‐performing culture in alignment with our core values of people, innovation, partnership, empathy, and results. Responsibilities center on business partnership, employee relations, manager enablement, and performance management, ensuring a collaborative, engaged workforce. Operating with moderate guidance, the HRBP I handles day-to-day HRBP tasks and escalates unfamiliar, high‐risk, or strategic issues to more senior HRBPs or HR leadership.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Collaborate with managers to align daily people strategies (resource planning, policy interpretation) with business objectives.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations matters (attendance, low‐level conflicts), consulting senior HRBPs on complex or novel cases.
- Guide managers on performance management cycles (goal setting, disciplinary actions), ensuring consistency and timeliness of reviews.
- Encourage a continuous feedback culture by coaching supervisors on effective discussions and documenting outcomes properly.
- Provide manager enablement through basic leadership coaching, conflict resolution tips, and recommendations for targeted L&D resources.
- Monitor local HR metrics (turnover, exit data) to spot trends, escalating broader issues or red flags to senior HRBPs.
- Support day‐to‐day program rollouts (revised policies, engagement initiatives) in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and other HR teams.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and employment laws, seeking guidance for legally sensitive or precedent‐setting issues.
- Assist with change initiatives (org updates, reassignments), ensuring employee communication and smooth transitions at the unit level.
- Participate in ongoing mentorship or coaching sessions, expanding consultative skills and building readiness to handle more advanced HRBP responsibilities.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; HR certification a plus
- Generally requires, 3–5 years of HR experience (employee relations, performance management)
- Strong communication and relationship‐building skills; operates under moderate guidance for new or high‐risk scenarios
- Basic analytical abilities (spreadsheets, reporting), comfortable escalating more complex data interpretations
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive matters
- Time management proficiency to handle multiple priorities
- Interest in growing consultative and strategic capabilities
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
