Job Overview
This position develops and curates engaging content for radio brands, digital agency and clients including but not limited to special projects, sales programs, campaigns, and features for all digital media platforms while leading in the creation, production, and editing of written, video, and photo content.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with sales team to conceptualize, create, shoot and edit high-quality video content for Hubbard Chicago advertising clients. Ensuring that video content created meets the goals and objectives of the advertiser.
- Responsible for posting sales-related content on station brand social channels organically and via paid Meta Business campaigns. Optimize these campaigns to ensure they reach the goals set for each advertiser / campaign.
- Coordinate, oversee, and assume responsibility for all station / brand video production activities, including special projects, special programs and features.
- Ability to deliver short segments of video photography for assigned productions and projects. Maintain current production field equipment, as well as advise on needed equipment, and keep current on new available equipment in the video photography industry.
- Offer ideas, suggestions and other concepts for the station's digital media video activities that are innovative and creative.
- Interface effectively with sales, interactive and programming departments to fulfill needs.
- Assist with and participate in special promotions and community service programs sponsored by the station.
- Stays up to date on industry trends and new ways to create compelling video content
- Builds good working relationships with co-workers, clients, vendors and the public. Acts in a professional manner when representing the company.
- Reports to work on time and works established schedule/hours. Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules as needed.
- Works on other projects as assigned
- Attend and participate in meetings as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years experience operating video cameras and editing equipment. Ability to record, edit and execute segments for on air using station's equipment.
- Knowledge of field production techniques and standards.
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to produce video content in a timely manner
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
- Experience working as a team member with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of individuals.
- Will follow direction but will take initiative when needed.
- Ability to work on short deadlines and in pressure situations as well as in the evening and weekends.
- Reliable transportation. Valid drivers' license and clean driving history as determined by the Company.
Physical Requirements
Sits or stands for extended periods of. Ability to hear clearly. Manual dexterity to manipulate computer keys and other controls as well as other office equipment. Must have good vision and hearing and be able to discern video and sound on many platforms. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Able to drive own vehicle for the purpose of meeting clients and attending events. Requires the ability to think creatively and tactically and to articulate
Additional Information
This position is subject to pre-employment driving record background check. A conviction, violation pending adjudication, or adverse driving record more than 3 years old or does not meet the major violation definition per company policy will not, on its own, disqualify an applicant. Compensation and Benefits
When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $24.04 - $33.65 per hour
