Overview / Objective
NFL Network is seeking a Daily News Producer for ‘’The Insiders’’ to join our fast-paced live production team delivering timely, engaging, and editorially sound NFL coverage across all platforms. This is a live program airing daily. This individual will be responsible for driving the editorial vision of a daily news show—from pre-production through live broadcast—ensuring compelling storytelling and clean execution while under significant pressure and deadlines.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, and collaborative producer with a deep understanding of the NFL, strong editorial judgment, and a passion for breaking news and live television production. The right candidate makes independent editorial decisions but understands they won’t always be right and values collaboration and input from others.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily editorial meetings and determine rundown structure in coordination with talent and production team
- Work alongside Control Room staff and News desk to execute daily show delivery
- Act as the daily Line Producer for “The Insiders” – a daily news and information program for the Network
- Act as a fill-in Producer for additional programming, including news coverage when needed
- Work with the assignment desk and digital/social teams to integrate breaking news, video, and developing stories
- Oversee graphics and show content, ensuring accuracy and visual storytelling quality
- Collaborate with directors and technical teams during live broadcasts for smooth execution
- Maintain alignment with NFL brand guidelines and compliance standards
- Adjust the show content in real-time during breaking news situations or in response to live events
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of live control room production experience covering live sports news, preferably line producing
- Must demonstrate excellent breaking news instincts and a deep passion for delivering accurate and timely news coverage
- Must be able to effectively lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and editorial decision-making skills
- Proven experience building rundowns and leading control room execution
- Skilled in ENPS rundown software
- Previous supervisory and leadership skills are required
- Significant experience in sports production and the ability to produce at a high level
- Ability to react quickly and effectively to breaking news
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with on-air talent and technical crews
- Must possess strong command skills and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a sports newsroom or standard hard news environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with live remote production and studio operations
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of digital/social media and integration in broadcast
- Ability to manage and mentor key members of the production team

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This position will require working holidays, weekends, and non-standard hours year-round.
