boom 97.3 Toronto has an incredible and rare opportunity to join our team as a full-time Music Director, on-air personality, and the Brand & Content Leader for Stingray Classic Hits. As Music Director, you will be filling the shoes of an industry giant with over 40 years of Music Directing experience – no pressure!
Your day-to-day
- STRONG working knowledge of Music Master CS.
- STRONG/PASSIONATE knowledge of Classic Hits music.
- STRONG communication skills, on-air and off.
- Schedule music daily for boom 97.3, Toronto, and Stingray’s Classic Hits network.
- Create music playlists for specialty programming events.
- Collaboration with Programming, Promotions, and Sales for on-air events.
- Work directly with Stingray’s Classic Hits programming team.
- Assist with boom 973 programming.
- On-air: voice-tracking and live occasions scheduled and when needed.
- Work with record labels, programming, and promotions to execute promotional & programming commitments.
- Monitor industry reports about Classic Hits music/programming.
- Significant experience on-air.
- Understand and live the lifestyle of a 35-54-year-old listener.
- Knowledge of what’s up locally/globally and communicating that to our audience in a fun and personable way.
- Working in a fast-paced, creative environment, along with the ability to pivot when needed.
- Excellent phone and social media skills.
- Excellent people and time management skills.
- A love of details and minutiae.
