Job DescriptionPosition Overview The Coordinator of Esports Marketing and Media will work alongside the Associate Director of Esports to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable Esports program that advances the 3 pillars of Competition, Curriculum & Community. The Coordinator of Esports Marketing and Media will focus on combining high-level competition against other elite universities; operations of the Esports Arena; support of the Butler gaming community; creating live events and digital content around the program; and connecting Butler students to jobs and opportunities in the video game and esports industries.
Responsibilities - Production (MEDIA)
- Manage "Production Team" to ensure nightly streams continue (student employees)
- Producer for major events and implement "Production Team" as staff.
- Coordinate media days for teams' year-to-year
- Create content centered around the student experience with Butler Esports and highlight successful event hosting within the space
- Manage VODs posted to YouTube of nightly streams and large-scale streamed events
- Elevate production capabilities using current technology & streamline nightly streams
- Marketing (MARKETING)
- Implement & analyze marketing effectiveness using findings from Butler Esports Marketing
- Research ongoing data to develop on-campus engagement with the program
- Coordinate with Butler Marketing to ensure accurate representation of the program
- Manage esports.butler.edu by updating player information & team data each semester as well as link all social channels
- Drive online & in-person viewership
- Develop marketing campaigns to drive increased recruitment internally & externally
- Work with the "Social Team" to ensure regular engaging posts and analyze the success of said posts (student employees)
- Create promotional material and content
- Track data and act accordingly (use to promote increased sponsorships and partnerships)

- Lead Graphic Designer
- Promote alumni relations
- Promote student engagement
- Create cross-departmental partnerships
- CCOM and other schools, clubs, and departments on campus working alongside esports and utilizing the Butler Esports Park to full capacity
- Aid in supporting corporate team building hosting
- Leveraging positive impressions across socials and streaming platforms to increase partnerships and sponsorships
- Support team efforts in acquiring and maintaining sponsorships
- Support high school recruitment
- Assists in overall esports operations, including esports team management, community engagement and Day-to-Day operations of the Esports Park; provides subject matter expertise on collegiate esports communities; provides subject matter expertise and design guidance on esports revenue opportunities like apparel, broadcast graphics, and other potential merchandise
- Working with the operating software of the Butler Esports Park
- Collaborates with the esports Student Officer Board on projects and operational support
- Provide Clowers Memorial Hall themed venue graphic design for artists, events, bar menus, and general purposes
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 2-4 years' experience in event and or esports management
- Ability to manage and prioritize projects effectively
- Understanding of technology and production equipment.
- Demonstrated patterns of flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
- Communication skills across diverse constituencies
Preferred Qualifications - Understanding of division practice and policies
- Understanding of Butler campus space logistics and usage
