Based in St. Paul, MN, this family-run business has been in operations for nearly 100 years. Job Overview This 6 month position will assist Corporate Accounting in a variety of accounting tasks. The accounting intern will be exposed to multiple functional areas such as Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, and the General Ledger. Job Responsibilities Fixed Asset Setup, Maintenance, and posting month end entries Vendor setup adhering to established corporate guidelines Processing Accounts Payable invoices ensuring accuracy in coding, proper approvals are compliant with corporate policy, and vendor payments are made within vendor terms Accounts Payable Check Runs Year End 1099 Preparation and submittal to IRS General ledger reconciliations Intercompany Billings Other duties as assigned What You ll Gain: Hands-on bookkeeping experience in an established industry Mentorship from experienced Accountants and Department Managers Compensation and Benefits When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
