Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for sales staff consistent with the WCI mission while reflecting its ESOP culture and a focus on customer needs. Conduct sales meetings and training on a consistent basis. Offer training and one-on-one coaching of other sales personnel on how to attain business sales objectives. Take part in the interviewing of sales candidates while supporting decision-making to hire successful applicants. Lead by example.
- In addition to sales team leadership, direct sales responsibilities in managing small book of existing accounts.
- Provide on-going management of sales efforts to ensure consistent quarterly and annual goal attainment, as well as employee owner growth and development.
- Collaborate with Publisher regarding revenue progress and staff progress to ensure continued growth in all revenue platforms and personal growth.
- Build strong relationships with clients recommending appropriate advertising and marketing solutions including advertising and sponsorships in print, digital and events.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, leading the assembly of revenue projections, initiatives, and planning.
- Assist in the creation, assembly, and ongoing updates to the IB Madison media kit.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding individual and team revenue goals through selling/upselling/cross-selling present clients and expanding overall revenue base with new prospected accounts.
- Follow established credit policies and ensure timely collections on all advertising and sponsorships that are sold.
- Responsible for representing the company in a professional manner.

Skills: Proven sales skills, effective and persuasive communication. Strong listener and ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal language. Analytical, logical and creative while also detail-oriented and highly organized. Familiar with principals of design, layout and copywriting.
Knowledge: College degree or an equivalent successful career track with a minimum of five years in advertising, sales, marketing or business
