Part-Time Digital Content Creator

ESPN Madison is looking for a part-time Digital Content Creator to join our team to supervise and work our promotional street teams & remote broadcasts at local community events. Madison, frequently named the nation’s best college sports town, was Good Karma Brands’ second market to launch. ESPN Madison is the best place for local and national sports talk, and features signature events such as ESPN Wisconsin College GameDay to bring fans and marketing partners together year after year, and now we are looking for you to join our team to engage and interact with local partners and fans during station events, big or small!

Daily Tasks of a Part-Time Digital Content Creator:

Brainstorm ideas on how to grow followers and engagement across ESPN Madison’s social media platforms
Work directly with ESPN Madison’s Marketing team, as well as ESPN Madison’s Digital Content Specialist
Create compelling videos and other content for teammates to be distributed through their networks and directly to our current and future advertising partners
Capture video and photos of ESPN Madison talent for social media
Engage & interact with local partners & fans during events
Serve as a role model and example for interns working throughout the office and events
Create and/or edit video clips from local shows to repurpose across ESPN Madison’s social media channels
Execute the social media elements from marketing partnerships
Participate in leadership meetings as a voice of digital content/social media
Attend ESPN Madison events to capture content for social media and partnership recaps
1. Possible events include ESPN Wisconsin College GameDay, PrepMania, street teams, remote broadcasts, etc.
Attend sporting events throughout the area to capture content for ESPN Madison social media
1. Possible events include UW Athletics, Forward Madison FC, Madison Mallards, Madison Capitols, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, etc.
Additional responsibilities & tasks to be added on, on an as needed basis

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Expert knowledge in social media
Creative storyteller
Marketing mindset with ability to collaborate with other departments
Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently
Personal sense of responsibility and accountability
Strong organizational and time management skills
Friendly, optimistic, and upbeat personality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker
Willingness to accept and provide feedback

Excellent writing, video, videography, and photography skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Illustrator
With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license

Hours/Salary/Benefits:

Good Karma Brands part-time teammates are paid hourly with opportunity for increased pay with increased skills and responsibilities. The role of a part-time Digital Content Creator will require teammates to work evenings & weekends.
