Job Summary/Description:
KMOV is seeking a versatile, confident Streaming Anchor/Producer to join our digital-first team. This role will work exclusively on KMOV’s streaming platforms and will not appear on linear broadcast. The ideal candidate is a self-starting journalist and producer who can create compelling digital-first content across multiple dayparts, develop and book expert guests, and pivot instantly when breaking news occurs across the St. Louis market.

• You will be a visible, trusted source of up-to-the-minute information for local viewers, delivering accurate, fast, and context-rich coverage.
Key Responsibilities
• Anchor and produce live streaming programming for KMOV’s digital platforms across several dayparts.
• Lead editorial planning for your shows: develop rundowns, write and edit scripts, select visuals, and execute show flow.
• React in real time to breaking news — pivot content, update streams, and coordinate with newsroom teams to deliver timely coverage.
• Research, book, and manage expert guests and community voices; build and maintain a local contacts list of sources, spokespeople, and subject-matter experts.
• Produce digital-first packages: short-form explainers, live hits, social clips, and audience-facing elements optimized for online viewers.
• Work collaboratively with newsroom producers, reporters, social teams, and digital editors to maximize reach and accuracy.
• Operate streaming and production tools as needed; troubleshoot basic technical issues during live streams.
• Uphold KMOV editorial standards and maintain accuracy, fairness, and clear attribution in breaking and planned coverage.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Proven on-camera anchoring experience and producing for live digital streams or other online platforms.
• Strong news judgment with the ability to move quickly and prioritize under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience building and booking guests, experts, and community leaders.
• Deep knowledge of the St. Louis market and a broad understanding of national news and trends.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for digital audiences.
• Self-starter mentality: comfortable taking initiative, generating story ideas, and working with minimal supervision.
