Job Overview This position is responsible for a radio station's strategic vision and execution of the brand and content on the air and for the digital, social and podcasting space. The position has the ultimate responsibility for the development of the brand, content, all on-air talent, music, imaging and on-air marketing. Job Responsibilities Set programming direction, develop content and operational station level policies and strategic mission for radio station in collaboration with senior management. Develop a strong relationship with on-air talent and teams helping them grow and develop. Develop the brand s digital and social media strategy Study and plan for the future. Responsible for the day to day brand and content decisions. Work with research vendors to analyze and interpret data and research. Evaluate whether changes are needed and communicate changes. Work with and provide direction to station employees. Work closely with sales management and promotions to achieve revenue budgets. Build synergy with digital staff to provide digital extensions through the website and digital media. Knowledgeable of and applies as needed all current FCC rules and regulations. Work closely with engineering staff in overseeing the technical and audio components in regards to station function and sound. Provide direct supervision of employees in the following ways: Develop a strong brand and content through applicable training, evaluation, and coaching; Consult and collaborate with VP/GM and others in management in the areas of personnel, recruitment, hiring and development of personalities and other staff;; Critique and provide performance feedback employees on a regular basis; Work cooperatively and collaboratively with corporate programming, engineering, production, digital and sales departments as well as others. Acts in a professional manner when representing each station. Represent station at various events. Complete other duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations. The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000.
