Position Summary
The NBA Latin America team is seeking a Fan Engagement and Operations Project Employee who will play a key role in deepening the NBA’s relationship with fans across Latin America. This position is responsible for leading fan engagement initiatives that connect the league’s digital, live, and branded experiences - driving innovation, participation, and monetization opportunities throughout the fan journey. Developing a loyalty or membership-style program will be one of the key responsibilities of this position.
This role will operate at the intersection of digital products, live events, and brand partnerships, ensuring that every fan touchpoint - from NBA House to the NBA digital channels - delivers meaningful engagement and business impact. The ideal candidate will combine operational rigor with creative execution.
This position will be based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Major Responsibilities
Fan Engagement & Experience
- Develop and execute multi-channel fan engagement initiatives that connect live events (e.g., NBA House Brazil, NBA Mexico City Game) with digital owned ecosystems.
- Design and manage on-site activations at tentpole events, ensuring consistent NBA brand experience and measurable fan interaction.
- Oversee the implementation of ancillary events, fan zones, and digital extensions around major NBA experiences.
Loyalty Program & Monetization
- Develop loyalty or membership-style program that enhances fan retention and drive revenue opportunities, ideally in coordination with global CRM and digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities to integrate all NBA touch-points into the fan journey, creating a compelling engagement cycle that moves fans from awareness to conversion.
- Partner with regional and domestic cross-functional teams to build scalable digital and data-driven engagement initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Partnerships
- Manage day-to-day operations related to fan engagement initiatives, including timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality activations and partner integrations.
- Propose and execute presence in large-scale third-party events and festivals, reinforcing NBA relevance in cultural and lifestyle spaces.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the sports and entertainment landscape in Latin America, including digital consumption habits and fan culture.
- Proven ability to connect digital ecosystems with physical experiences to enhance engagement and retention.
- Solid project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and agency partners.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics, fan data, and campaign KPIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, in both English and Portuguese (Spanish is a strong plus).
- Deep familiarity with loyalty, membership, or CRM-driven programs is highly valued, especially within sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
Experience Needed
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Fan Engagement, or Digital Operations within sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
- Demonstrated experience activating large-scale live events, branded experiences, or digital fan programs.
- Track record in implementing or supporting data-driven fan initiatives across multiple markets.
- Hands-on experience in project operations, vendor management, and event execution.
- Previous exposure to global or regional marketing structures and matrix organizations is preferred.
Salary Range
$180,000 – 2000,000 BRL
