Job Summary:
The Coordinator, Data Analytics for Big Machine Label Group plays a key role managing, interpreting, and leveraging data to guide business decisions, marketing strategies, and artist development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Update, maintain, and answer questions on company-wide dashboards
- Collect and organize music sales, streaming, and social media data from various sources, including digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.), third-party reports, and internal databases.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
- Pull necessary data and assist with analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that help inform marketing and promotional strategies.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for various teams.
- Assist in providing data to support the development of data-driven marketing plans, including digital advertising campaigns, email marketing, and social media engagement strategies.
- Assist in identifying key audience segments and providing recommendations for targeted campaigns.
- Conduct market research to analyze trends in the music industry, identify new opportunities, and evaluate competitive performance.
- Monitor industry reports and emerging technologies that could provide new data or insights.
- Prepare regular performance reports and update teams on the progress of ongoing campaigns and artist growth.
Required Skills:
- Must be able to maintain high confidentiality.
- Experience in data analytics or data management, preferably within the music industry or entertainment.
- Proficiency with data entry and analysis tools such as Excel, Airtable, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and generate insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain data-driven insights and data systems to non-technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of the music industry, including trends in radio and music metadata
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with machine learning or predictive modeling techniques.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, BigQuery, or similar for data manipulation and analysis.
- Previous work experience in a record label, entertainment company, or digital marketing agency.
- Experience in Luminate, Mediabase, and Chartmetric
- Experience in using CRM or marketing automation tools is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in music business, business systems analysis, computer science, communications, or a related field preferred.
