Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a talented, creative, and dynamic Audience Development Director to join the AWAL Recordings team. The role is based in Culver City, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Audience Development, working closely with US Marketing, Creative, A&R teams, and UK and International marketing counterparts. Responsibilities include managing all digital marketing and audience development elements of global marketing plans with a focus on the US, including audience development and community engagement strategies, digital campaign planning and execution, social media strategy, fan acquisition and engagement (CRM), paid media campaigns, creator marketing, content seeding strategy, and digital partner relations. The candidate should have 5+ years of digital marketing experience in the music industry, preferably on the label or management side, with a proven track record of executing strategic and creative digital marketing campaigns. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and a hands-on approach. Key duties include creating and executing digital marketing campaigns, planning digital advertising and paid media spends, overseeing creator marketing and content seeding, leading community building and fan engagement strategies, managing digital platform partner relations, leading digital brainstorms and content ideation, setting goals and KPIs, tracking and reporting on campaign performance, collaborating cross-departmentally, and managing budgets. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience working with artists and managers, expertise in digital trends and platforms (TikTok, Snapchat, Discord, Reels, Shorts), and experience with tools like Chartmetric, Cobrand/MelodyIQ, Youtube Studio, Meta & TikTok Business Manager, and CRM platforms. The position is office-first, requiring 4 days per week in the Los Angeles office.
