Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for a senior manager to integrate the central team in London, working alongside the SVP, Global Live Strategy based in Copenhagen, and the Market Relations team of UMG for Brands based in London.
The role will be a centre of excellence and knowledge, shaping commercial and business strategy across corporate bookings, festivals, event sponsorships, and bespoke ticketed opportunities. The role will have a strong international focus, working with local teams in regions such as Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and others.
- Support local UMG offices (opcos) in setting up and developing their live business
- Respond and/or advise on ad-hoc global and local live requests
- Identify key opportunities for live business around the world and build a central live offering for UMG based on existing successful models
- Identify best practices that have been successful and create case studies to turn them in profitable long-term products for our opcos
- Report and analyse information flow from markets and internal stakeholders
- Manage and nurture a constant flow of communications between central office and local UMG teams (workshops, best practices, pitch support, etc)
- Create clear, compelling presentations with PowerPoint to formulate live projects and internal and external thought leadership
Person Specification
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an international environment and in live music
- Business oriented and strategic mindset, able to work effectively with C-Suite level executives to develop and demonstrate strong business cases and rationale
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent networking skills
- A startup mentality within a larger organisation – able to passionately champion new business models and projects
- Foster Teamwork: work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness
- Lead: Positively influence markets to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organisation. Team Player with the ability to display leadership qualities and inspire teams across the globe.
