This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Looking to join a dynamic team of about 150 Web, Backend and mobile developers, QA and more?
Join the Web Player team whose main responsibility is to maintain and evolve the audio and video user experience mainly used by CBC Gem, ICI TOU.TV | Regardez vos séries, films et documentaires préférés, RC OHdio | Radio en direct, livres audio et musique , Nouvelles et actualités | Info | Radio-Canada and more… . As a member of this team, you will participate in the development and implementation of new high value-added features and the modernization of the current platform by applying industry best practices in software development.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in the analysis and development of the solution code;
Participate in code reviews;
Ensure the good performance of the solution once developed;
Participate in writing backlog stories;
Participate and contribute to agile ceremonies, as well as solution deployments;
We are looking for a candidate with the following
University degree or equivalent experience;
At least 3 years of experience in software development;
Proficiency in React/Redux;
Good knowledge of Git;
Good knowledge of Javascript/TypeScript;
Good knowledge of Video HTML tag;
Good knowledge of Shaka Player;
Good knowledge of ads implementation;
Knowledge of DRM an asset;
Knowledge of Chromecast an asset;
Rigor, autonomy, proactivity and resourcefulness;
Fluency in French and working knowledge of written and spoken English an asset;
